Job Description

Our client, a leading global ecommerce marketplace, is looking for a highly skilled and experienced UI/UX Designer for an ongoing freelance position. As a UX Designer focused on Shipping, you’ll play a critical role in creating elegant and simple customer experiences that address complex interaction challenges at a global scale. This role calls for strength across interaction design, visual design, and prototyping, with the ability to craft intuitive solutions that delight customers. You’ll work within a highly collaborative and supportive UX team spanning global buyer and seller experience products. Fully remote and can site anywhere in the US. 

Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding, user-centered design solutions that balance business objectives, product requirements, customer research insights, and design intuition

• Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes to bring ideas to life

• Apply and extend an existing design system thoughtfully, identifying opportunities for enhancement and evolution

• Participate in user research, usability testing, and early-stage product exploration

• Partner with product managers and cross-functional teams to influence product strategy and create scalable design frameworks

• Facilitate workshops and design sprints to align stakeholders and shape product direction

• Communicate design thinking and vision clearly through compelling visual, written, and verbal communication

• Advocate for customer needs while balancing business goals and technical constraints

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of professional experience in Product Design or UX/UI Design

• Proven track record designing across mobile, tablet, and desktop experiences

• Expertise in design and prototyping tools, with an emphasis on Figma

• Ability to present multiple design directions, articulate tradeoffs, and tailor content to varied audiences

• Strong collaboration skills in highly cross-functional, fast-paced environments

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Nice to have: Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field
