Work LocationHome Based Expected duration3 months Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis position is in the Analytics and Project Management (APM) Service of the Business Transformation and Accountability Division (BTAD) in the Department of Management Strategy, Policy and Compliance (DMSPC). The Consultant reports to the Change and Project Management Officer coordinating the Management Dashboard project. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide specialized services in designing the UX/UI solution for a corporate platform. The consultant will leverage their expertise to propose and design persona-based user experience solutions and integrate advanced analytics, ensuring feasibility and optimal user experience. Design Blueprints and Prototypes • Define and design comprehensive blueprints, including detailed wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes for various personas • Deliverable: A complete design package (wireframes, mockups, and clickable prototype) to visualize and validate user experience and functional flow. Feasibility Assessment and Qlik Implementation Plan • Assess the technical feasibility of proposed wireframes and translate approved design features into a Qlik product architecture and implementation roadmap. • Deliverable: Feasibility report and Qlik implementation plan outlining incorporation and integration steps. Development Handoff and Integration Support • Provide technical guidance and support to the development team for translating blueprints into production - Qlik applications aligned with corporate systems. • Deliverable: Conduct a series of design-to-build review sessions to migrate design and features to Qlik platform, covering design specs, feature mapping, and integration Qualifications/special skillsA master’s degree in computer science, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, organizational performance, workplace learning or related field is required. A first-level degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Minimum 10 years of experience in data analytics and UX/UI is required. Proven experience as a UX/UI advisor with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centric design projects is required. Experience in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) is required. Experience in conducting user research and usability testing is required. Experience in developing data products using Qlik is required. LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written English is required. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.
