Job Description

Job Summary:
The Office Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in both the office and warehouse facilities. This includes routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, and restroom sanitation. The role also includes cleaning of windows and maintaining cleanliness in the exterior parking lot area. Cleaning supplies and equipment are provided.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform daily janitorial tasks in office and warehouse areas including:
  • Mopping and sweeping floors
  • Dusting surfaces and furniture
  • Emptying and removing trash
  • Vacuuming carpets and rugs
  • Cleaning interior windows
  • Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms (office and warehouse)
• Monitor and restock restroom supplies (soap, toilet paper, paper towels) as needed
• Maintain cleanliness in the parking lot area by removing any debris or trash
• Report any facility issues (e.g., leaking fixtures, broken items) to the Warehouse Operations Manager
• Properly handle and use cleaning supplies according to safety instructions
• Maintain a clean, organized janitorial storage area

QUALIFICATIONS :
Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Physical stamina and mobility to perform cleaning tasks
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred

License or Certificate Requirements:

Guideline Strengths
Moderate to heavy lifting – lifting of 50 pounds or more
Motion Parameters
Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
Work Environment
Indoor and outdoor work (office, warehouse, parking lot); may include exposure to cleaning chemicals
Vision and Hearing
Normal – must be able to visually inspect areas for cleanliness and hear directions
