Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Job description:
We are a small business looking for one person to work on a team to manage the day-to-day roles of an accountant/bookkeeper position. He/she would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

• Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner
• Take all reasonable discounts on supplier invoices
• Pay any debt as it comes due for payment
• Monitor bank account
• Issue invoices to customers
• Remit sales tax
• Reconcile credit card statements
• Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
• Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
• Conduct a monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
• Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts
• Issue financial statements
• Provide information to external tax accountant
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
• Maintain the chart of accounts
• Manage 401k updates or changes
• Manage Insurance enrollment and changes
• Record vendor acknowledgments

Qualifications:

• Experience in accounting
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Organized
• Ability to self-manage time and responsibilities
• Hard worker
