With the Accounting internship, you will work with a mentor to learn what Accountants are and how they play a vital role in the company’s success. What You’ll Do

Our Accounting internship offers opportunities to:

• Learn about multiple Finance teams at Sentry via direct project work with different areas.
• Prepare a variety of financial statement exhibits and reporting disclosures.
• Review and reconcile financial statements to general ledger data and appropriate data sources.
• Complete Workday finance system maintenance and manage system configuration to address business needs.
• Explore and assess additional Workday functionality in the areas of AI and Machine Learning. 
• Assist with automation of financial statements and reports.
• Review data flow between systems. Verify completeness and accuracy of financial transaction processing in accordance with accounting principles and reporting requirements. Troubleshoot data reconciliation issues.
• Assist with support, maintenance, and enhancement of accounting processes and systems.

What it Takes

To be considered for this position, the following criteria is necessary:

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting or a related field
• Obtain a minimum in-major GPA of 3.50
• Anticipated graduation between Fall 2026 and Spring 2028
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere
• Working towards CPA eligibility of 150 credit hours highly preferred
• Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience
