Agile PLM Administrator

Houston TX Hybrid

12+ Months Contract to Hire (C2H)

Job Overview:

The Agile PLM Administrator is a key technical and functional expert responsible for the design, configuration, administration, and support of the Oracle Agile PLM system. This role will partner with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality, Operations, and IT, to optimize business processes and ensure system stability, data integrity, and compliance.

• Our current PLM is Oracle Agile PLM, and it is integrated with JD Edwards through a tool commonly used to integrate Agile PLM called Magic XPI.
  • Agile PLM experience isn't a concrete requirement, but PLM experience is a requirement and Agile would be beneficial.
• We are piloting a move to a cloud PLM (which would be a multi-year project), so if this role were to be hired, they'd be involved in that.
• PLM development for both Oracle Agile and the pilot cloud PLM is performed by an offshore developer, and this role would need to coordinate with that developer.
• The role would also be responsible for additional, less complex, materials/inventory management systems and fabrication shop systems.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an Oracle Agile PLM Administrator or Technical Consultant.
• In-depth, hands-on experience with Agile PLM modules such as Product Collaboration (PC), Product Quality Management (PQM), and Product Portfolio Management (PPM).
• Strong technical background in Java (Core Java/J2EE), Agile SDK, and Groovy scripting.
• Proficiency with Oracle databases, including strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
• Experience with application servers, specifically Oracle WebLogic.
• Experience with Agile PLM integrations using web services (SOAP/REST).
• Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
• Familiarity with related enterprise systems like ERP and CAD.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Certification in Oracle PLM Cloud or PDH.
• Experience with Agile system implementations and upgrades.
• Knowledge of industry-specific compliance standards (e.g., GxP, 21 CFR Part 11) is a plus.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow)
