Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Wood Pallet Repair Supervisor to lead and support a team of pallet repair technicians in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in carpentry, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of pallet repair processes. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential for permanent employment based on performance.

Location: Montgomery, IL 60538
Pay Rate: $25.00/hr
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day operations of pallet repair technicians, ensuring productivity and quality standards are consistently met.
• Inspect repaired pallets to ensure they meet company and industry specifications.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance on proper use of tools such as sawzalls and nail guns.
• Monitor team compliance with safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
• Schedule and delegate repair tasks to maintain workflow and meet daily quotas.
• Perform quality checks and troubleshoot repair issues as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Report team performance, equipment issues, and material needs to management.
• Assist with hands-on pallet repairs when needed to support the team.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in carpentry or pallet repair.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role within a warehouse, carpentry, or industrial setting.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools (e.g., sawzall, nail gun).
• Strong knowledge of pallet repair standards and safety practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to motivate a team to meet goals.
