Description

At Altus Technology Solutions, we are looking for an experienced Computer Operator II to support operations at Moody Air Force Base in Georgia. Our team delivers mission-critical services to government customers in high-stakes environments.

In this role, you will play a key part in computer operations, field equipment support, and range maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Initiate and monitor computer systems operations and diagnostics
• Enter system commands and provide input briefings to supervisors
• Troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions or format errors
• Maintain and operate computer systems supporting range threat emitters and target systems (e.g., PITS, SMOKEY SAM)
• Operate and maintain BASH equipment, range scoring systems, and backup M-2 scoring system
• Conduct setup, deployment, and programming of portable radar and threat simulation equipment within a 75-mile radius
• Perform routine grounds maintenance (e.g., mowing, pruning, painting, cleaning buildings and pads)
• Conduct general repairs on roads, fences, buildings, and mechanical equipment
• Operate heavy machinery including graders, front-end loaders, and bulldozers
• Perform daily and periodic vehicle and equipment maintenance tasks
• Build, repair, and maintain various training targets and field structures
• Comfort operating in both technical and physical environments
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job status and any needed parts or delays
• Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations at all times

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License
• U.S. Citizenship
• Active U.S. DoD SECRET Security Clearance

Specialized Experience

• Experience with system operations and troubleshooting on desktop or laptop platforms
• Knowledge of tactical threat deployment and range support operations
• Hands-on experience with heavy equipment and vehicle maintenance
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty construction and agriculture equipment.
• Familiarity with training target systems, including pyrotechnic devices and pop-up targets
