Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated developer with deep expertise in Django to join our core engineering team. You will be a key contributor to the architecture and development of robust web applications across a variety of client engagements.

You will also collaborate closely with QA, Product Owners, and Project Managers to deliver elegant and maintainable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Backend development using Django in applications with a React frontend
• Design scalable RESTful APIs using Django Rest Framework
• Integrate CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions and maintain a high standard of code quality through unit and functional testing
• Review code and mentor peers
• Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development
• Expert-level knowledge of Django, including Django Rest Framework, with an emphasis in performance tuning, load testing, and optimization
• Proficiency in writing and maintaining unit, integration, and functional tests (TDD mindset)
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Solid understanding of Git and GitHub Actions for CI/CD
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration, delivery, and infrastructure automation
• Experience with Docker containers is required
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and modern software development lifecycle
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GraphQL APIs
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or similar
• Hands-on use of Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Experience with ReactJS
