Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Jersey City, NJ . Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

• The Operations Specialist performs specialized operational fund account opening activities supporting the firm's business lines.
• They are a subject matter specialist typically dealing with moderately complex issues related to their area of focus.
• These activities include fund account document review and execution, communication with fund companies, processing and recording, reporting and acknowledgement, and reconciliation.
• Process transactions, verify information, manage daily volume, perform intraday and end-of-day reconciliation of daily work, and help ensure all deadlines and requirements are being met.
• Provide superior client service, ensure timely response to internal and external requests, and follow up on open inquiries.
• Help identify and document errors to reduce exposure, interact with other clients' departments on resolving issues, communicate professionally and constructively to effectively resolve issues to minimize risk and exposure, manage associated fund account projects, and assist with defining procedures and controls.
• Prepare and execute necessary fund documentation, investigate and respond to inquiries related to fund account openings, correctly reflect fund accounts on the client's systems, and maintain and review daily department reports pertaining to mutual fund account openings.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Minimum of 1 year of Global Custody experience.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• Proven knowledge of one or more product areas within Operations and its processes.
• Ability to perform technical responsibilities of the job with a high level of competence.
• Aptitude for thorough and timely research, analysis, and problem resolution.
• Ability to communicate professionally through effective verbal and written skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and effectively juggle assignments.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Proactive self-starter who is detail-oriented, goal-oriented, and willing to learn.
