Job Description

We are currently seeking a new Mail Legal Specialist (also referred to as a Data Entry Clerk) to join our Operations department at our law office.

The primary responsibilities of this role include reviewing and sorting mailed documents, categorizing information, and entering data into designated systems. Our new Specialist will also be asked to cover the front desk and take incoming calls as needed. Responsibilities:

• Receives, reviews, and sorts incoming mail.
• Interprets and enters data electronically.
• Follows up with internal clients to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data.
• Files or routes source documents after entry.
• Processes and scans checks.
• Performs other clerical duties, which may include photocopying, filing, and collating.
• Provides coverage for the front desk as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1 year relevant experience working in a mailroom, stockroom or processing department preferred.
• A valid state driver's license and an acceptable driving record is required.
• Ability to lift and/or move supply deliveries and packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute for accurate data entry skills.
• Basic knowledge of buildings and grounds maintenance techniques in order to assess and resolve reported issues.
• May need to be available for OT or on call (minimally).

The Schedule: 8:00am - 4:45pm Monday through Friday Compensation and Benefits:

• $16.00/hr.
