Summary

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Performs the duties of Pharmacist as prescribed by state and federal statutes as well as SHS policies. Prepares and dispenses medication; assesses clinical status of patients (neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics). Provides drug information to the medical team. Educates patients.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

Current unencumbered Oregon Pharmacist Licensure required. Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred. All job offers are contingent upon the candidate passing a pre-employment/post offer drug screen. GSR Pharmacy: If responsible for participating on the pharmacy code response team, then ACLS and PALS required.

Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers. Possess the knowledge and skills to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time. Demonstrates teamwork. Possess good judgment and decision making skills.
