Job Title: Training Specialist – Cleaning Services (2nd/3rd Shift)

Pay Rate: $18-23/hour (based on experience)

Job Type: Hourly | Full-Time

Schedule: Evening/Night Shifts (2nd & 3rd Shift)

Location: Various Locations – Local Travel Required

Reports To: Operations Manager

Job Summary

The Training Specialist will develop and deliver training programs for janitorial staff, ensuring employees are well-equipped with the skills, knowledge, and safety protocols needed to meet high cleaning standards. This role includes both hands-on and classroom-style training, often conducted on-site during 2nd and 3rd shift hours. The Training Specialist plays a key role in maintaining quality, promoting safety, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver training for new hires and current staff in janitorial techniques, cleaning procedures, equipment use, and safety practices
  
• Conduct hands-on training at client sites to reinforce best practices
  
• Ensure proper use of chemicals, tools, and equipment in compliance with company and OSHA standards
  
• Support onboarding through orientation sessions
  
• Create and maintain training materials including manuals, checklists, and videos
  
• Track and document employee progress and certifications
  
• Collaborate with management to identify training needs and performance gaps
  
• Monitor training effectiveness and make improvements as needed
  
• Stay current with industry trends and regulatory updates
  

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services
  
• Experience in training, coaching, or team leadership preferred
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Ability to lead engaging, hands-on training sessions
  
• Detail-oriented, organized, and process-focused
  
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  
• Comfortable working across various environments including construction sites, labs, warehouses, and offices
  
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
  

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Work will occur in client spaces such as construction sites, warehouses, and offices
  
• Position involves physical activity: bending, sitting, standing, and demonstrating equipment use
  
• Requires flexibility to travel locally as needed
  
• Evening/night shift availability required
